Wendy Sweeney, founder and proprietor of Booty Camp®, first began using the Booty Camp® training method with her own six children. Through the training that later evolved into Booty Camp®, she was able to teach her children to be self-reliant, responsible, and to accept the consequences of their actions. Ms. Wendy found that once her children grasped the concepts she was trying to teach them, that they became potty trained very quickly. This was encouraging, because not only did the method teach her children self-reliance and improve their self-esteem, but it saved her the substantial amount of money she'd put toward diapers and PULL-UPS® every month.

Not long after seeing the success she had with her children, Ms. Wendy's friends, family, and neighbors soon began to ask for advice and assistance in potty training their own children. Ms. Wendy realized that there must be other parents struggling with potty training as well, and it was then that she created Booty Camp®. Ms. Wendy and her innovative, one-day Booty Camp® seminar have been featured in People Magazine as well as on ABC, NBC, CBS, and WGN.

The philosophy behind Booty Camp® was inspired by that of Nathan H. Azrin, PhD, renowned author of Toilet Training in Less Than A Day. We have found that, for the average child, this revolutionary potty training method requires less than four hours! Once children learn the tools they need for successful toileting in the seminar, they will be able to use the potty without assistance or reminder.

We have found other significant benefits to toilet training your child through the Booty Camp® method. Your child will experience personality improvements, which frequently accompany heightened independence; willingness to try other tasks independently, such as feeding or clothing; better response to parental instruction; and increased sense of pride, pleasure, and self-esteem.

Although the main benefit of Booty Camp® is evident, there are more advantages than simply potty training your child that come from enrolling in Booty Camp®.

• You will see noticeable toilet training results in just one day. Throughout the last four years, more than 450 children have been successfully potty trained through Booty Camp®.

• Though some children do not benefit from Booty Camp®, our success rate is very high.

• Booty Camp® presents and encourages potty training in such a manner as to make it a positive learning experience for both parents and children.

• Children are toilet trained through third-party intervention, with their parent(s) close by and involved. We have found that this is typically much more effective than parental coaching by itself.

• Children are taught in a comfortable home environment, with a parent or guardian alongside them who they trust.

• Booty Camp® is offered in a calm, nurturing setting, which enables children to feel safe and happy.

• Booty Camp® potty trains children according to the latest scientific methods with the most current techniques.

• It is not a silent, individual struggle. Booty Camp® is taught in a small-group setting, so attendants—both participants and parents—are surrounded by others who are learning and going through the same process.

• It is well worth the cost. The amount of money you save from not having to buy diapers will more than pay for the class.

• Your child will be more confident after successful potty training, and he or she will have higher self-esteem.

Wendy Sweeney, founder of Booty Camp®, sets individual, reasonable expectations for each child; this feeling of responsibility encourages children to be accountable for their bodies and actions. Before the Booty Camp® class, Ms. Wendy provides children and parents with the information they need in order to achieve their toilet training goals. Then, both during and after the seminar, she guides them throughout the process and answers any questions or concerns.

With this in mind, each parent or primary caregiver must be present during the class and must follow the guidelines and instructions given. Under the direction of Ms. Wendy, the seminar enables the child and parent to conquer the potty training process together.

This class really does work! However, you will not achieve the expected results unless you follow the guidelines Ms. Wendy gives. You are completely responsible once the seminar has ended; Ms. Wendy will not call to see if you are following her guidelines, which can be found in the parental agreement. During the class, Ms. Wendy will give parents her home and cellular phone numbers; if you have any questions or problems, please don't hesitate to call. Ms. Wendy also encourages you to call about your progress on a daily basis. By hearing daily reports, both good and bad, Ms. Wendy can adjust the program until it becomes a perfect fit for your child. Each child is different; some children only need fifteen minutes while other children [i.e., children with special needs] may take up to two weeks, depending on their abilities.

Once your child has been potty trained through the Booty Camp® method, you will notice some remarkable side effects. We have noticed that once children have taken responsibility for their bodies and actions, they experience an increase in self-esteem and an improvement in personality and behavior. Booty Camp® also provides parents with a major boost of confidence while advancing the child's maturity skills.

“Sometimes we need to fail before we succeed. Accidents are a good thing. This is how we learn. I will teach you how to teach your child to work through their tantrums and to be successful with any new challenges they face, whether it be potty training or tying their own shoes.”

—Ms. Wendy

Q. Does this potty training method really work?
A. Yes. Our success rate is 96 to 98% when we have parental compliance, according to our parental agreement guidelines.

Q. How do I know if my child is ready for Booty Camp® training?
A. Booty Camp® accepts children who are 2 ½ years of age and older. The child must be able to stay dry in a diaper for the length of an entire hour, and the child must also be able to carry out 2 to 3 simple commands at a time.

Q. Do you accept children with special needs to Booty Camp®?
A. Yes. The Booty Camp® training method can be used with special needs children and adolescents, including, but not limited to, those with cerebral palsy, autism, down syndrome, or chromosomal disorders. We have experienced great success with teaching special needs children, as the basic concepts are the same.

Q. What if my child has special needs and has already reached puberty?
A. Booty Camp® requires private, individualized classes for all children who have reached puberty.

Q. How many kids are in a class?
A. Booty Camp® accepts up to five children per class. Of the five children, there may be two with special needs.

Q. How are parents involved in Booty Camp® training?
A. Parents can be involved in Booty Camp® training by fully complying with the parental agreement rules and regulations. If there is no compliance from the parents, the training will be ineffective. Parents can also help by being completely involved both before, during, and after the Booty Camp® training.

Q. How does your potty training method work?
A. During Booty Camp®, children participate in intense practices to help them understand their bodies. Children are rewarded for dry pants and for going potty. This means that only the children are responsible for their success, not their parents.

Q. Can we receive post-training advice?
A. Yes. You may receive coaching and advice for up to 30 days following the Booty Camp® session, at no extra charge.

Q. What happens if Booty Camp® doesn't work?
A. Booty Camp® has a high success rate when the parental agreement rules and regulations are followed. If the rules are not followed, there will be no compensation. However, if the rules have been followed and the training was ineffective, you may re-enroll your child, at the discretion of the instructor, for no cost.
