YES, I do teach children of all ages, with special needs. Approximately thirty five percent of children who have gone through the class this year has had delays. This would include, but not be limited to, children with spectrum disorders, down syndrome, cerebral palsy and chromosomal disorders. The success rate is approximately 97% with parental compliance. I like to include both parents and a caregiver/aide. If the child has already gone through puberty or is violent, a private class is required. I do ask that you have nothing planned for the following two weeks after the class, so the child has time to master it. This includes therapies and school. Please understand we are undoing years of what has been tolerated. In order to set the child up to succeed this time is necessary. All children come in at a different skill level with different needs. After working with you and your child I can give you a better idea of an approximation of time. It is the parents responsibility of all children in the class to check in with the instructor at least once a day, more if questions arise or poor progression is occurring. The instructor will not call and badger the parents to see if they are following the guidelines. This is extremely important for the child to succeed.
